'Glee' Cast's Dating Histories Through the Years

Lea Michele and more Glee alums have found their happily ever afters off-screen.

The Fox musical drama aired for six seasons between 2009 and 2015. Michele and late costar Cory Monteith played New Directions leaders Rachel Berry and Finn Hudson, respectively, and sparked a real-life romance while playing the high school sweethearts. They dated until Monteith died of an accidental drug overdose in July 2013.

“We talked about a lot of things. We talked about children and what we would look like when we grew old, and who would be fat and how we would stay thin,” Michele told Glamour UK in February 2014. “We talked about where we wanted to go and what we wanted to do. We were done. We were it.”

Michele ultimately found love again with Zandy Reich, whom she wed in 2019. They share son Ever Leo.

Lea Michele
While Glee was airing, the Emmy nominee sparked a romance with Monteith until his 2013 death. She was previously linked to Morrison and Broadway’s Theo Stockman before she began dating Reich. The pair got engaged in April 2018 and tied the knot one year later. They welcomed son Ever Leo in August 2020.

The late actor dated Michele while playing love interests on the Fox series. In July 2013, the Monte Carlo star died of an overdose at age 31.

The Finding Neverland actor was briefly engaged to Selling Sunset’s Chrishell Stause in 2006 and was linked to Michele before his relationship with Puente began in 2011. They wed in October 2014 and later welcomed two children: son Revel in 2017 and daughter Phoenix in 2021.

In July 2010, the Shiva Baby actress began dating her I Am Number Four costar Alex Pettyfer. They split the following year after moving in together. Agron was later linked to Chris Evans and Sebastian Stan. In 2015, she got engaged to Mumford & Sons guitarist Winston Marshall, who she quietly wed the following year. They separated in August 2020. Us confirmed in July 2022 that the Burlesque actress briefly dated Bradley Cooper earlier that year. A source told Us that the pair were “casually” seeing each other when he met Huma Abedin, who he’s since been linked to.
Naya Rivera
The late actress welcomed son Josey in September 2015 with ex-husband Ryan Dorsey, who she was married to from 2014 to 2018. Rivera previously dated Tahj Mowry, Big Sean and Salling. Ahead of her death in July 2020, the Devious Maids alum was linked to retired athlete Jermaine Jones.
Kevin McHale
The former NLT band member publicly came out as gay in an April 2018 tweet and is dating actor Austin McKenzie.

Jonathan Groff
The two-time Tony nominee was previously linked to Broadway star Gavin Creel and dated Zachary Quinto from 2010 to 2013. Groff — who famously doesn’t use social media — began dating Australian choreographer Corey Baker in 2018.

Darren Criss
The University of Michigan alum shut down speculation about his sexuality after joining the Glee cast in 2010. Eight years later, he proposed to longtime girlfriend Mia Criss (née Swier). They exchanged vows in February 2019. Darren and Mia welcomed daughter Bluesy in 2022. They announced one year later in December 2023 that they are expecting baby No. 2.

Mays has been married to Adam Campbell since 2007 after meeting on the set of Epic Movie one year prior. Their son, Jude, was born in August 2016.

While working on Glee, the Broadway icon was married to Taye Diggs, whom she met in 1995 during the original production of Rent. They split in 2014, five years after welcoming their son, Walker. The Cinderella star later moved on with Aaron Lohr and the duo tied the knot in 2017. 
Mark Salling
The late actor dated Rivera from 2007 to 2010 and Playboy model DJ Roxanne Dawn from 2010 to 2011. An ex-girlfriend accused him of sexual battery in 2013, claiming she was forced to have unprotected sex with him two years prior. He denied the allegations at the time and the suit was settled out of court in 2015.
Later that year, Salling was arrested on suspicion of possessing child pornography. He pleaded guilty in September 2017 and died by suicide four months later.

One year after marrying Supergirl costar Chris Wood in September 2019, the duo welcomed their first child.
