Jamie Foxx fans can breathe a sigh of relief. The actor and comedian is doing well after being hospitalized for a mysterious medical complication in April, according to his co-star Porscha Coleman.

Coleman, who appeared with Foxx on the Netflix series “Dad Stop Embarrassing Me!”, spoke to Entertainment Tonight on the red carpet of the BET Awards in Los Angeles on Sunday and gave an update on his condition.

“He’s resting. He’s well. And he’s going to be back. Trust and believe,” she said.

Coleman said she got the health update by talking to “people very close” to Foxx, who has “always valued his privacy.”

“If you’ve noticed, Jamie Foxx has always been on the low. … Even when it came to dating,” she explained. “Once I heard the news, of course I reached out, but how Foxx is doing it is how Foxx should be doing it.”

Foxx’s eldest daughter, Corinne Foxx, first revealed her father’s unspecified medical emergency in a since-deleted Instagram post in April.

“Luckily, due to quick action and great care, he is already on his way to recovery,” she wrote at the time.

Foxx’s reps have not confirmed the nature of his illness, but they have denied rumors that it was caused by the COVID-19 vaccine.

Foxx broke his silence on his Instagram Story in May, writing, “Appreciate all the love!!! Feeling blessed.”

He also shared a video of himself playing pickleball with his friends, showing that he was in good spirits and shape.

Foxx has not made any public appearances since his hospitalization, but he has been working on some projects behind the scenes.

He is set to star in and produce a new Fox game show called “We Are Family” with his daughter Corinne. He is also developing a biopic of boxing legend Mike Tyson, in which he will play the lead role.

Foxx’s fans are eagerly awaiting his return to the spotlight, and they are glad to hear that he is recovering well.

Coleman said she hopes to work with Foxx again in the future, as their show “Dad Stop Embarrassing Me!” was canceled after one season.

“He’s amazing. He’s so talented. He’s so funny. He’s so kind,” she gushed. “I would love to work with him again.”
